Southern River College (SRC) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Program Coordinator – Vocational Education and Training (VET) committed to achieving outstanding educational outcomes for all students in our culturally diverse school at SRC. The role is a 12‑month fixed‑term, full‑time position commencing Term 1, 2026 with possible extension and/or permanency.

SRC seeks to create opportunities for all students progressing through their educational journey. With our Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) pathway, general education and vocational programs we offer the scope for success for every child. Our Inspire programs in Lower School enable students to follow their passion through our Inspire Academic, Netball, Music, Soccer and Volleyball programs. Our STEM enrichment program is achieving noteworthy success with competitions locally and interstate.

Responsibilities

In collaboration with the Principal and members of the administrative team, the successful applicant will:

- Provide educational leadership in the college and community by developing and promoting the college vision and encouraging staff to share ownership.

- Focus on vocational training, workplace learning and transition beyond secondary schooling.

- Lead a dedicated team working with the Career’s Practitioner, Workplace Learning Officer and office staff.

- Oversee the Engagement Program and seek opportunities to grow the vocational pathways within the City of Gosnells.

- Build and maintain partnerships with TAFE, RTOs, businesses and other organisations to further opportunities for students.

- Communicate regularly with parents and foster parent partnerships throughout the year.

- Provide detailed examples of working with and developing strong partnerships with students, stakeholders and staff in relation to VET, secondary pathways and post‑school destinations.

Qualifications & Experience

- Preferred: Excellent understanding of Vocational Education and Training (VET) in the secondary school context.

- Experience establishing and maintaining partnerships with TAFE, RTOs and business organisations.

- Strong interpersonal skills, innovative thinking and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

- High level of interpersonal and public relations skills.

- Demonstrated capacity to provide effective leadership in diverse educational settings.

- Demonstrated professional knowledge to ensure high educational outcomes for all students (including Aboriginal, culturally diverse and special needs students).

- Demonstrated capacity to manage physical and financial resources.

Eligibility
