We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Family Peer Worker to join our Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) support program – The Bridge. The Family Peer Worker supports the families, carers and friends of people dependent on AOD drawing on their knowledge and lived experience as a support person. This part-time role is based in Singleton.

This role will allow you to:

- Bring your lived and living experience of supporting loved ones dependent on AOD as a foundation to support others
- Leverage your lived experience to connect meaningfully with individuals and families, helping them navigate the complexities of the services and systems required
- Offer true empathy and understanding, helping individuals and their families build on their strengths and resilience
- Bring a real ‘knowing’ of what people may require, offering insight and connection through your lived experience and the collective experience of carers.
- Be a part of team that is as diverse as the vibrant communities it supports.
