About the Opportunity

As the Sales Manager you’ll lead and drive the Parts and Services business within your region. You’ll be accountable for revenue growth and profitability while ensuring exceptional customer service and support.

This role is all about leading high-performing sales and service teams, strengthening customer relationships, and delivering on key performance goals. You’ll also play a key part in implementing Sandvik’s Parts and Services strategy at a local level, representing all Sandvik Business and Product Lines within your area.

The ideal candidate can be based in either Pooraka, SA or Orange, NSW.

Responsibilities

- Lead and develop a high-performing, diverse team aligned with the Sandvik Way and Leadership Model, fostering accountability, safety, and inclusion.
- Set ambitious business goals and make informed decisions that align with Sandvik’s strategy, policies, and financial objectives.
- Build a resilient and agile team culture that encourages innovation, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
- Drive Parts and Services revenue growth across the region while maintaining budgeted gross profit and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions, win plans, tenders, and long-term contracts that strengthen relationships and profitability.
- Ensure alignment on standards, strategies, and methods across all Parts and Services operations to achieve consistent business outcomes.
- Manage financial performance, including P&L oversight, expense control, and capital expenditure within budget.
- Provide monthly performance reporting and analysis, identifying variances and corrective actions to achieve business goals.
- Oversee technical support activities, including issue resolution, training coordination, and dissemination of product bulletins and alerts.
- Monitor competitor activity, maintain CRM pipelines, and ensure appropriate stock levels in collaboration with inventory teams to sustain market competitiveness.

About you

You’re a confident and strategic leader with a strong background in sales, operations, and people management, bringing over four years of demonstrated leadership experience in a sales and service environment. You have excellent financial analysis and commercial acumen, with the ability to review contracts and make sound business decisions. Known for your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you can effectively engage, negotiate, and influence at a senior level while building trusted relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders. You’re highly organised, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. With experience in technical sales management and overseeing heavy engineering workshop operations, you take a hands-on approach to achieving business outcomes. A tertiary qualification in Business, Project Management, or Engineering will be highly regarded.
