Our client produces and markets some of the most well-known and respected animal health brands in their market segments, which are predominantly in the poultry and ruminant sectors. With a 50-year history, the company has demonstrated a commitment to science-based solutions and the propensity to make strategic acquisitions to expand its product line.

The Role
This role will manage the Feedlot business in Australia, focusing on key account management, sales, marketing and business growth. The major species will be cattle growing in feedlots. Marketing will also cover the whole company portfolio in Australia.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Managing Director Australia & NZ, the position will be responsible for:-

- Take accountability for the Ruminant Feedlot sales and marketing;
- Key account management, organise and manage relationships with key distributors, integrators, influencers, consultants and end users in the region;
- Drive sales and marketing strategies, launches, advertising and promotions across the entire business;
- Develop a feedlot strategy and implementation plan;
- Achieve annual budgets for sales, GM and OPEX;
- Build momentum in the company's animal health business in the feedlot segment, and produce marketing material;
- Call on customers and end users to deliver the company message;
- Build a network of resources to support key products;
- Represent the company and present at trade shows and industry events.

Requirements

- Understanding of nutrition and biological functions in ruminants;
- Relevant degree in veterinary health/nutrition;
- Understanding of feedlot diseases;
- Sound knowledge of Feedlot production systems;
- Good understanding of the regulatory environment;
- Conversant in the current trends in feedlot production;
- Key account management and selling skills;
- Marketing skills.

Remuneration and Location
A highly attractive remuneration package, including salary, superannuation, a car, and a bonus, will be negotiated to attract the right person for this role. The role must be located in Queensland, location is flexible.
