About the role

We are seeking a detail orientated and driven Financial Accountant to play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory and tax requirements.Combining strong technical experience with sharp analytical skills and a commitment to accuracy and integrity, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

- Lead the month-end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations for general ledger and control accounts.
- Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all group entities to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Manage annual external audits
- Support the preparation of annual financial statements
- Ensure adherence to the Group's tax governance framework and assist with a broad range of taxation matters.
- Prepare and lodge tax compliance obligations, including BAS, FBT, PAYGI and other regulatory reporting.
- Assist with financial analysis, reporting, budget and forecasts to support decision-making.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies and procedures to drive continuous improvements.

About you

- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
- Qualified CA or CPA.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, with experience in statutory reporting, tax compliance, reconciliations and financial management.
- Advanced in MS Excel with proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint.
- Exposure to TechOne software is highly advantageous but not essential.
- Confident managing multiple projects and stakeholders across strategic and operational levels.
- Comfortable analysing and interpreting data to generate actionable insights.
- A collaborative, solutions focused team player who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
