Position Title:
Desktop Support Technician
Contract Duration: 6 months Initial Contract
Work Schedule: 3 Days per week role (Onsite)
Location: Ideally looking for candidates living within Albury Area or close by.
Position Description:
This is an onsite role providing second-level end user IT support and problem resolution at our client site in Albury, NSW.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Desktop PC & Laptop Hardware installation, setup and configuration, problem diagnosis and resolution.
2. Support of MS Teams meeting room equipment.
3. General IT troubleshooting and assistance as required on site.
4. Manage incidents, knowledge base articles, tasks and assets within the Service Management tool to a high standard and within SLAs.
5. Keeping the stock/build room tidy and in order.
6. Managing eWaste.
7. Facilitating user training sessions.
8. Assisting with project work.
9. Occasional participation in after-hours/weekend support & deployment activities as required.
Ideally, you will be qualified in an IT related discipline and have experience in supporting IT technologies including PC & Laptop Hardware support, Windows 11, Outlook, MS Teams, MS Office and have a basic understanding of networking.
Your attention to detail, natural curiosity, ability in problem solving, planning and priority setting coupled with a strong focus on customer service will put you in good stead for this role. Experience with ServiceNow tool would be highly regarded.
A driver’s license is a must for this position, as you may occasionally be required to attend other sites.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to commit to regular and punctual attendance are critical.
