Cross River Rail Delivery Authority (CRRDA)…Your chance to work with the best

The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is building a new 10.2km rail line that includes 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD; with four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street.

Once complete, it will provide trains with a much-needed alternative rail path through the core of the current SEQ Rail network, unlocking a bottleneck and allowing more trains to run more often across the whole of South East Queensland.

The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is also delivering multiple supporting projects and activities in conjunction with Department of Transport and Main Road. These include accessibility rebuilds for eight surface stations, construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast; upgrades for stabling yards; track works and surface rail enhancements; and the introduction of a new ETCS digital signalling system.

About the Role

As Senior Advisor Stakeholder Engagement, your work will directly support the delivery of safer, more connected public transport for Brisbane and South East Queensland. You will work on the frontline of community and stakeholder engagement for major rail construction, keeping communities and businesses informed and supported through construction impacts and network disruptions.

In this role, you will develop and deliver tailored engagement and communication activities aligned to construction schedules and milestones. Working with internal project teams, government entities and contractors, you will help identify emerging stakeholder issues early, support practical responses, and ensure engagement meets approval conditions mandated requirements. The work is varied, fast paced, meaningful and offers strong exposure to a complex infrastructure environment.

Based in our Brisbane CBD office with flexible work arrangements available, this role provides a solid opportunity to build your experience on a city shaping transport project. This is a fixed term contract position until March 2028 with possible extension.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies that align with project goals and stakeholder needs.

- Develop and manage communication tools to ensure consistent and accurate messaging.

- Interpret construction programs and milestones, track critical path impacts, and identify potential stakeholder issues early.

- Identify emerging stakeholder risks, trends and issues and support practical mitigation strategies.

- Develop and manage communication and engagement supporting network changes and disruptions.

- Ensure engagement activities meet conditions of approval and relevant compliance requirements.

- Work collaboratively with contractors and stakeholders on interface matters, identifying and managing risks and issues.

- Apply stakeholder segmentation, prioritisation and perceptual mapping to tailor engagement strategies.

- Coordinate engagement activity with internal and external teams so it aligns to broader milestones and messaging.

- Maintain accurate records and report on consultation and communication activities.

About You:

- Experience developing, managing and monitoring communications and stakeholder engagement activities supporting government infrastructure, public transport or construction projects.

- Ability to liaise, influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders, including government, contractors and community representatives.

- High level written and verbal communication skills, including briefs, reports and engagement materials.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Demonstrated ability to identify stakeholder risks, and issues early and implement practical mitigation strategies.

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
