About the Role

The Practice Quality Assurance Lead Practitioner provides professional practice leadership in managing contemporary and contentious issues. This position provides high quality and responsive oversight in responding to care concerns, complaints and complex sensitive issues.

Working in close collaboration with staff within the Office of the Chief Practitioner, the position will have a high degree of influence over professional practice improvement activities aligned with best‑practice standards, relating to care concerns and complains. The role leads and champions change, continuous learning, and improvement efforts to strengthen service delivery outcomes across the State. It works under the direction of the Practice Quality Assurance Principal.

The role contributes to the development, implementation, and monitoring of professional practice frameworks, policy development, governance, and practice review within the Office of the Chief Practitioner.

We are offering

- 3‑month engagement with an ASAP start date
- 76 hours per fortnight

We are looking for

Essential

- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment
- Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self‑regulated allied health professions, eligible for membership with the relevant professional association
- The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

1 Conviction checks in the following areas:

- crimes of violence
- sex related offences
- serious drug offences
- crimes involving dishonesty
- serious traffic offences

2 Identification check

3 Disciplinary actions in previous employment check

Desirable

- Postgraduate qualifications in child protection, leadership, or practice development is highly desirable
- Current Driver’s Licence
