Anglicare Tasmania is seeking a part-time Practitioner– Families, Children and Young People for a maternity reliefposition (60.8 hours fortnight), concluding on the 28th June 2026based in Hobart.
About the Role:
The Child and Youth Healthy Minds Program provides free,non-clinical mental health support for children and young people(ages 0-18) and their families. We offer tailored support andflexible outreach options at school, at home, or in the communityto promote effective early intervention.
To be successful you will have:
- An understanding of the processes people utilise toovercome adversity/distress arising from
life challenges.
- An ability to recognise and understand people’sintrinsic resourcefulness.
- Provide support in a manner consistent withAnglicare’s values and practice principle.
- Demonstrate high level of communication and interpersonalskills with people who access our services, family/carers,colleagues, other service providers and stakeholders.
- Ability to accurately document and maintain records.
- Demonstrated experience with relevant information andcommunication technologies.
- Ability to work autonomously within organisational policyand procedure.
- A high level of professionalism and a willingness todevelop and reflect on professional
practice
- Ability to work in alignment with Anglicare’sworkplace principles
- Knowledge in a broad range of disabilities and mentalhealth areas and keenness to learn.
What we offer you:
- an attractive salary of $91,567.84-$95,974.32 (full-timeequivalent) + Super + Salary sacrifice
- a 7% Graduate Loading payable where you hold a degree in a relevant discipline

The successful applicant will be requiredto:
- provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable PeopleRegistration (employment/volunteer category) including NDISWorker Screening Check
- present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerablepeople type National Police Check (no older than 12months);
- provide an International Police Check if you have residedfor 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of16;
- provide a satisfactory Anglicare-assessed medical:
- provide a current provisional or full AustralianDriver’s Licence.
On commencement, the successful applicant will be required toundertake our structured Safeguarding Children Trainingprogram.
This position is available for an immediate start andapplications will be shortlisted upon receipt.
