Launceston, Australia Brown Family Wine Group Full time

Time for a Sea change? At Devil’s Corner, we don’t just make wine – we create experiences worth sharing. Named after a rugged patch of water on Tasmania’s East Coast, our wines and our people reflect the same boldness and spirit as the land and sea around us.

We’re now looking for a Front of House Supervisor to join our team and work alongside the Venue Manager in leading the delivery of unforgettable moments at one of Tasmania’s most iconic destinations. This role plays a key part in connecting our Cellar Door and soon to be launched Devil’s Corner Kitchen – ensuring both spaces run seamlessly together, and every guest enjoys the full Devil’s Corner experience.

Job Description

About the Role: Reporting to the Venue Manager, this role supports the smooth running of our busy Cellar Door and Kitchen front-of-house operations. You’ll help lead and inspire the team, create premium guest experiences, and keep service and operations humming. From hosting tastings and supporting events to coaching the team and making sure everything is presented at its best, you’ll be a key part of ensuring every visitor leaves with a story to tell.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting the Venue Manager in daily Cellar Door and Kitchen FOH operations.
- Supervising and motivating the team to deliver warm, memorable service across both spaces.
- Leading tastings, sharing the Devil’s Corner story, and encouraging wine sales and memberships.
- Supporting rostering, training, and mentoring of casual and part-time staff.
- Assisting with site presentation, stock control, and compliance processes.
- Helping coordinate events, trade visits, and VIP experiences.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you: You’re a hospitality professional with energy, positivity, and a passion for people. You love creating memorable customer experiences and supporting a dynamic team to shine. You thrive in a busy, hands-on environment and have a flair for making guests feel welcome — whether it’s over a wine tasting at the Cellar Door or a shared meal in the Kitchen.

You’ll bring:

- Experience supervising or leading teams in hospitality, tourism, or retail.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- A genuine enthusiasm for wine, food, and tourism.
- A can-do attitude, flexibility, and attention to detail.
- RSA, Driver’s Licence, and (ideally) a First Aid Certificate.

What's On Offer

- A full-time role in one of the most stunning wine destinations in Tasmania.
- Mostly daytime shifts – great lifestyle balance.
- Work with one of Australia’s most loved and trusted wine companies.
- Be part of a passionate, fun, and supportive team.
- Product discounts and great perks.

About us: Devils Corner; named after a ruggedpatch in nearby waters, our approach to wine is similar to that of the intrepid sailors who dared to cross it: bold yet humble. Fearless yet considered.

Born and bred on the East Coast of Tasmania, it takes a certain brand of courage to craft wines from our part of the world. Wines born from a land of wild contradictions and unforgiving seas; reflecting both the beauty of our challenging landscape – and the boldness and tenacity of the people who create them.

Brown Family Wine Group is one of Australia’s most loved and trusted wine companies. With premium vineyards in Victoria and Tasmania, our family of wines has now grown to five brands - Brown Brothers, Devil's Corner, Pirie, Tamar Ridge and Innocent Bystander. We are passionate about our wines and our core values of Wellbeing, Respect, Innovation and Pride in What We Achieve Together. Most recently we havebeen certified as "A Great Place to Work" and are committed to honouring this recognition throughout all aspects of the business.
