Cakes on Demand Trading as The Cheesecake Shop Launceston is a local cake shop known for its delicious, handcrafted cakes baked and decorated in store. We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service and creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our customers. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team.

As a Shop Assistant, you will be a vital part of our team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, assisting in daily shop operations, and ensuring that our products are showcased beautifully. Your role will involve interacting with customers, maintaining the cleanliness of the shop, and supporting the baking team as needed.

This is a casual position, looking for independent and flexible team member, need to be available during daytime hours, weekdays essential.

Provide excellent customer service

  • Greet customers warmly and provide attentive service to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Assist customers in selecting cakes, taking special orders.
  • Handle cash and electronic payments accurately; maintain a balanced cash register.
  • Ensure the shop is clean, organized, and well-stocked, including display cases.
  • Assist in the preparation of baked goods, packaging, and labeling as needed.
  • Maintain inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Participate in promotional and seasonal events held at the shop.
  • Follow health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service
  • Receiving, unpacking and arranging new shipments from suppliers
  • Manage orders from delivery aggregators and ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Take and process customer orders over the phone and in person.
  • Training provided instore and online

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $14.95 – $33.19 per hour
