About the Role

You’ll be part of our Energy Sales Specialist team, working at the heart of everything we do – engaging with customers. You will proactively support new and existing Origin customers with sales activity, including win‑back, cross‑sell, and move/acquisition, ensuring utility and broadband needs for residential and SME customers are met.

This role works on a rotating roster between 7:30 am – 6:30 pm Monday – Friday. You must be available to work across these hours. Initial training is 4 weeks, held in office.

Key Responsibilities

- Guide new and existing customers through the retention, acquisition, and move journey, ensuring utility needs are met while delivering outstanding customer experiences.

- Focus on improving the customer experience and demonstrate genuine concern for the customer.

- Anticipate customer product needs through curious questioning and effectively resolve those needs in first contact.

- Understand the product options available and how they can resolve customer needs and/or issues.

About You

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to talk to customers across multiple platforms including phone, email, social, and others.

- Sound commercial judgement to improve customer experiences, while considering risk and regulatory frameworks and acting within delegation of authority.

- Lateral thinker, capable of thinking for yourself, your team, and the business.

- Demonstrated sales and negotiation skills; sales experience preferred but not essential.
