DevOps Engineer

The DevOps Engineer is a key role at Antero where we build SaaS products and support bespoke software for our clients. In this role you will sit within a technology team located here in Brisbane at our Fortitude Valley office which is supported by a team of skilled Delivery Managers and Product Owners as well as a second development team in Europe.
The ability to understand devops methodology, including monitoring and alerting, and the ability to solve complex problems with infrastructure in real-time as they occur is the key to success in this role.
You will be expected to apply your range of talents wherever necessary across the following areas:
- Strong technical skills: must have a solid understanding of the development and operations process, including software development, deployment, and infrastructure management, operating systems (Linux), as well as networking including DNS and SSL.
- Expertise in automation tools: must be proficient in using automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD to automate the entire software delivery process.
- Knowledge of cloud computing: should have knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), including cloud deployment, security, and monitoring. AWS Services include: VPC + Networking, EC2, ECS, RDS, Cloudfront.
- Understanding of containerisation: must have experience with containerisation tools such as Docker, including container deployment and management. Kubernetes is a bonus.
- Experience with agile methodologies: should have experience working in an agile environment and familiar with agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
- Continuous learning: should have a passion for continuous learning, keeping up with new trends and technologies in the DevSecOps space.
- Problem-solving skills: should be able to identify and solve complex technical problems, including troubleshooting issues with the deployment process or infrastructure.
- Ability to work under pressure: should be comfortable working in an outcomes-focused environment. Our apps are 24/7 as such this role would require on-call availability after hours.

- Attention to detail: must pay close attention to detail, especially when working with complex and interconnected systems, to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Antero is a SaaS product and bespoke software provider which is part of the Flip Group, including weareflip our digital agency partner.
Antero develops its own SaaS products specific to FinTech and financial markets in addition to providing software consultation and bespoke software development for our clients.
Our flagship product Incept is used by several Asset Finance companies within Australia providing a FinTech platform in a box to accelerate loan origination, credit decisioning, settlements, doc gen, etc.

Capability in this role will be measured via the below activities:
- A demonstration of involvement in building and supporting software product environments/infrastructure.
- We will ask to see some examples of your work to review and provide evaluation.
- There will be a tech test to test your skills as a DevOps Engineer.
