About the Role
Are you ready to take the next step in your academic career in one of the world’s most liveable cities? We are seeking a passionate and experienced academic to join our Speech Pathology team at Victoria University. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through innovative teaching, academic leadership, and collaborative research.
As a Senior Lecturer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Speech Pathology education. You will design and deliver engaging curriculum content across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, both on-campus and online. You will also supervise Honours and project students, contribute to academic governance, and support the development of industry partnerships.
This is a full-time continuing position at an Academic Level C (Teaching & Research Academic) $134,005 - $154,514 plus 17% superannuation classification, working 36.75 (1 FTE) hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality teaching materials and coordinate units in Speech Pathology.
- Lead and participate in academic leadership roles such as Course Chair or Unit Convenor.
- Engage in curriculum development, assessment, and student consultation.
- Conduct and publish research in your area of expertise.
- Support clinical practicum programs and foster strong industry connections.
About You
We are looking for a forward-thinking academic with tertiary qualifications and a strong background in Speech Pathology. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in tertiary education. You will thrive in a supportive and high-achieving team environment and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This role requires you to be eligible for full registration of Speech pathology Australia and meet our work right requirements.
