CERES FAIR WOOD

CERES Fair Wood is a Melbourne-based sustainable timber social enterprise supplying ethically sourced wood to DIYers, builders, landscapers and furniture-makers. Established as a CERES initiative Fair Wood operates as a distinct business focused on responsibly harvested timber. It sources its products through a network of agroforestry and urban forestry operations, connecting small-scale growers and reclaimed urban trees with timber buyers.

The Nursery aims to create a beautiful and inspiring space where people feel welcome and can access the information and materials they require to become organic food gardeners as well as create ecologically diverse and wildlife-friendly native gardens.

You’ll get hands-on connecting people with beautiful, sustainably sourced timber, solving practical challenges, and helping customers understand why building ethical supply chains is good for the planet.

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?

This role requires:

Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.

You bring strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Confident working independently and collaboratively, have a knowledge of timber products and their uses, be good with basic maths and using a computer.

Strong organisational and time management abilities are important, as is attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

A commitment to safety is essential, and a valid forklift and truck licenses are an advantage.
