NTHA are seeking a frame & truss manufacturing trainee to join our host employers' teamLocated in Derimut, Vic NTHA is a nationally registered Group Training Organisation that employs and supports trainees by placing them with host employers for quality, paid hands-on training and experience.
About the Host Employer The host employer is a long-standing, family-owned business with over 70 years of experience in the building industry.
Known for its knowledgeable team—many with decades of service—the host employer offers quality building materials, including framing timber, engineered wood, doors, and more.
ABOUT THE ROLEThis is a hands-on traineeship where you'll earn while you learn, gaining practical skills in timber frame and truss manufacturing while working toward a nationally recognised qualification Certificate III in Timber Frame and Truss Manufacture (FWP30920) completed in 18 months or less.
You'll be part of a close-knit team building the foundation for homes across the region.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in manufacturing timber house frames, wall frames, and roof trusses
• Safely operate saws, hand tools, and timber machinery
• Load and process timber for machining
• Read and interpret house/building plans
• Accurately measure and cut timber to profile
• Perform quality checks and manage timber waste
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment WHY JOIN US?
