Cafe Manager, Waiter (Food and Beverage Attendant)

Location: Lithgow, Australia. Sector: Hospitality & Catering. Salary: $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 per annum

Benefits: Wage offered to successful candidates:

- Manager: $75,000 to $80,000
- Waiter: $65,000 to $70,000

Task & Responsibilities

Manager:

- Manage and control the day to day operations of the Cafe.
- Plan and design menus based on seasonal changes
- Oversee daily operations of the cafe
- Manage staff, including hiring and training
- Ensure quality customer service
- Monitor inventory and order supplies
- Develop and implement marketing strategies
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Manage stock, order supplies
- Ensure profitability of kitchen

Waiter:

- Setting and arranging tables;
- Taking reservations, greeting customers and presenting them with menus and beverage lists;
- Recommending dishes and wines to complement food
- Taking orders and relaying them to kitchen and bar staff;
- Serving food and beverages;
- Opening bottles and pouring beverages including mixing liquor and assisting in the cellar;
- Clearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to the kitchen;
- Removing empty bottles and used glasses from tables, and refilling and replacing glasses;
- Collecting payments for sales and operating point of sales machines and cash registers.

Qualification & Experience

Manager:

- Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (hospitality or business)
- 1 year experience in a managerial role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Waiter:

- Certificate III in Hospitality (Restaurant Front of House), or equivalent qualification as assessed by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) AND at least 12 months relevant work experience

OR

- At least 18 months’ relevant work experience in Australia on a temporary visa.

OR

- At least two (2) years’ relevant experience.
