Join a collaborative and high-performing finance team within a leading organisation based in the Sydney CBD.About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance activities, while driving process improvements across systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Month-End & Reporting

- Prepare and process general journals, including month-end accruals
- Assist in preparing monthly P&L reports, board packs, and expense analysis
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner
- Review and reconcile corporate credit card transactions
- Generate and analyse weekly and monthly sales and credit note reports
- Review daily cash flow reports
- Manage billing processes related to key partnerships and reconcile associated accounts

Compliance & Technical Accounting

- Support half-year and year-end statutory reporting, including ASX submissions and audit coordination
- Provide input on technical accounting matters, including AASB 15, AASB 16, AASB 137, and AASB 138
- Assist with BAS, FBT, and income tax preparation and review
- Prepare statistical returns for the ABS and ATO

Business Support & Continuous Improvement

- Collaborate with finance and admin teams across Sydney and the Philippines
- Contribute to ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and budgeting initiatives
- Support and back up team members as needed

About You

- CA/CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar accounting role
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with hands-on experience in month-end close and reporting
- Advanced Excel and strong reconciliation skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work autonomously, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic environment
