Details: Are you a creative digital learning professional ready to bring innovation to vocational education? Do you enjoy designing interactive, engaging online resources that improve student outcomes?
Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) is seeking a Digital Learning Innovation Officer to support the development of high-quality digital learning materials across the Electric Vehicle (EV) TAFE Centre of Excellence and the Cyber Security (CS) TAFE Centre of Excellence. Working closely with the Learning Designers and CIT educators, you will help shape digital training resources that meet industry standards, reflect innovation, and deliver an outstanding student learning experience.
What we are looking for:
We’re seeking a motivated individual with:
- Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining online courses within an LMS (such as Moodle/eLearn).
- Strong skills in HTML/CSS and experience using H5P, Adobe, or equivalent digital learning tools.
- Knowledge of quality assurance, copyright compliance, and universal design standards.
- Excellent organisational and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to meet strict project deadlines.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with subject matter experts and project teams.
What you will do:
- Develop, update, and maintain eLearn courses to ensure consistency and quality.
- Apply HTML/CSS to refine and customise course content.
- Create interactive learning activities using H5P and multimedia design tools.
- Ensure editorial accuracy and compliance with copyright, accreditation, and organisational standards.
- Undertake quality assurance processes for all units and courses.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of digital learning systems and practices.
- Work collaboratively with educators, the Learning Designers, and project teams to deliver training products on time.

Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of three years up until 29 December 2028, with the possibility of permanency. Temporary employment offered as a result of this advertisement may lead to permanency/promotion as per the Public Sector Management Standards, Section 14 – Direct appointment of employee – general, and Section 20 – Direct promotion - general and CIT Enterprise Agreements. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
