Your opportunity

As Assistant Marketing Manager, you will assist the Marketing Manager in the curation of the asset experience making it a more desired destination for customers and the community, a high-value commercial opportunity for our partners, and driving the asset performance.

- Championing the needs and expectations of our customers;
- Curating an exceptional and locally distinctive customer experience;
- Delivering experiential programs, events and activations;
- Assisting with the development and delivery of the strategic marketing direction for the asset;
- Unlocking partnering and new commercial opportunities through active business development

Your responsibilities will include:

- Having a deep understanding of customer and community needs and expectations and helping share that across the asset team and broader business through research and ongoing community engagement.
- Championing the customer and community through all aspects of the planning, decision making and operations, including assisting to deliver the asset’s Community Charter and Stakeholder Communications Management Plan.
- Supporting the positioning of the asset experience to ensure a clearly understood value proposition and Experience Vision.
- Actively collaborating with the asset team to ensure the asset’s offer and experience delivers against the agreed vision.
- Ensuring a unique and locally specific Place DNA that is expressed through all aspects of the experience to foster its distinct local character and local appeal.
- Owning the guest journeys to ensure the easiest, best and most enjoyable experiences at every touchpoint.
- Assisting to develop and implement innovative multi-channel programs and activations that drive increased traffic enhance the guest experience and create opportunities for brand partners to engage effectively with key audience groups.
- Assisting to develop strategic community and brand partnerships, in conjunction with Commercial Partnerships team, to enable the experience vision.
- Supporting the generation of new revenue opportunities through strategic positioning of mall assets, media assets, and mall programming in order to achieve the financial sales goals of the property.
- Assisting in the development and execution of the annual marketing plan which supports National Marketing objectives, strategically utilises all platform programs, and positively impacts the asset’s core traffic, sales, financial and market share objectives.
- Assisting in the active management of the Marketing Budget including continuous monitoring of POs and spending, timely processing of payments, monthly forecasting and ROI analysis to maximising marketing dollars.
- Assisting in the flawless delivery of all brand and national programs at the local level to optimise engagement from customers, community and partners.
- Coordinating all visual merchandising, signage and advertising programs to the highest standards of creativity and presentation and in line with the asset positioning and Place DNA.
- Developing and implementing intensification strategies.
- Promoting extension opportunities and securing participation to drive sales and enhance activations and events.
- Managing all digital channels including website, social media and email marketing, with focus on driving social media engagement, email subscribers and an increase in data collection.
- Presenting the asset to the public in its optimal condition and maintaining a presence out on the floor.
- Assisting to proactively drive the asset’s reputation to meet or exceed PR targets as well as maintaining effective media relations.
- Participating in Manager on Duty rotation, staff meetings and other relevant management responsibilities as a critical member of the asset team as required.
- Proactively engaging with industry bodies, and emerging industry concepts and trends.
- Adhering to Mirvac policies and procedures, internal and external reporting deadlines and compliance requirements.
- Assisting with any projects, or undertaking additional duties as reasonably required.
- Working collaboratively within your team and across Mirvac divisions and sharing learnings with employees and leveraging their experience.

Your point of difference

- Minimum 4 years experience in a marketing role with at least 12 months management experience
- Previous experience in delivering innovative multi-channel experiences and activations desirable
- Previous experience managing digital channels including website, social media and email marketing desirable
- Previous experience in business development and/ or brand partnerships is desirable
- Tertiary Certification in Marketing, Business, Customer Experience or similar
- High level of IT proficiency e.g. Microsoft Office package
- An innovator with the ability to think outside the box
- A customer and guest-centric focus with a strong understanding of the local community and trade area;
- Exceptional eye for styling, presentation and visual merchandising
- A proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to solve problems, improve system and procedural efficiency and effectiveness, and resolve issues as they arise
- A team player attitude with the willingness to be flexible
- Ability to think strategically, adapt to change, deal with ambiguity and complexity
- A willingness to learn and provide an innovative approach
