ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Design Manager you will report to the Senior Design Manager and work closely with the project leadership team. As a pivotal member of our project team your role will be to ensure designs across architecture, structure, and services are innovative, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with project timelines, while harmonising design excellence with constructability and delivering solutions across projects located on the beautiful Gold Coast.

Key Responsibilities:

- Driving the project forward while integrating design excellence with constructability – ensuring that the project designs are aligned with the project timelines.
- Developing and managing the design programs while steering the design process and outcomes.
- Ensuring the design output is meeting all contractual and compliance requirements.
- Ensuring design approvals are efficiently managed and aligned with the project schedule.
- Identifying design risks and delivering cost effective solutions before they emerge.
- Leading the charge to ensure consultants deliver quality, accountability, and results.
- Management of all design documentation and reviews.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Tertiary qualifications in Architecture; Construction Management or related field is desired.
- Proven experience as a Design Manager specialising in the delivery of multi-level residential developments.
- Ability to proactively identify design risks and provide cost effective and practical design solutions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Revit and CAD.
- Self-motivated and driven to grow and develop.
