I'm working with a client who is looking for a Commercial Manager to join their team in Brisbane. This is a senior role, reporting directly to the CEO, and will suit someone who enjoys a mix of strategy, client engagement, and hands-on business development.

You'll be responsible for securing new opportunities, managing existing relationships, and making sure the business continues to grow in the right direction. It's a role where you'll get to influence strategy at the top level, while still being close enough to the detail to make a real impact.

What you'll be doing:

- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Leading the preparation of tenders, proposals, and business cases.
- Developing and implementing commercial and marketing strategies.
- Monitoring performance and market trends to keep the business competitive.
- Providing commercial insights and advice directly to leadership.

What we're looking for:

- A degree in Marketing, Business, or something similar.
- At least 5 years' experience in a commercial, business development, or sales role.
- Someone who communicates well (written and verbal) and builds trust easily.
- A quick thinker who adapts well when things change.
- Strong organisational skills and able to juggle competing priorities.
- Confident with Microsoft Office and business tools.

Bonus points if you have:

- Experience in aviation, transport, logistics, or resources (aviation training can be provided).
- Familiarity with tendering processes, contracts, or CRM systems.

This role is perfect for someone who wants to step into a position where they can shape the commercial direction of a business while still being part of a collaborative team.
