Days & Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, totalling 38 Hours per week.
Competitive Salary: Band 8 - $133,367.11p.a. + 12% superannuation.
Location: Corporate Centre in Sandringham, with the flexibility to work from home.

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the health and wellbeing of the Bayside community. The Community Wellbeing Coordinator provides leadership to the Wellbeing team to meet the needs and aspirations of the Bayside community. This team includes portfolios of: Volunteers, Partnerships, Reconciliation, Inclusion, Child Safety, Community Grants, Health and Social Planner, and has responsibility for the Health and Inclusion Plan.
You will be responsible for:
- Creating and communicating long term vision for the team aligned to council’s vision and goals, as well as the Council Plan and Health & Inclusion Plan.
- Building relationships to provide guidance and support local Community Centres and Neighbourhood Houses
- Coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of the Health & Inclusion Plan
- Coordinate the effective running of Council Advisory Committees within Community Wellbeing portfolio: Disability Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee (DAIAC) and Reconciliation Advisory Committee
- Coordinate the development, implementation and review of relevant health and social policies e.g. Reconciliation, Volunteers, Child Safety, partnership agreements.
Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:
- Tertiary qualifications in a Community Development/ Human Service related discipline e.g. Health Promotion, Social Policy, Health Science.
- Experience in people management and leadership.
- Demonstrated experience developing and evaluating policies and strategic action plans in response to identified community issues.
- Experience in stakeholder management, community engagement and health promotion/planning.
- High level understanding of: Access and inclusion issues and trends
- Well developed understanding of community development theories, methodologies and their application.
- Demonstrated experience in project and change management.
- Well developed community engagement and facilitation skills.
Mandatory pre-employment requirements:
- Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
- Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check
