Role context

This role will involve working with fresh producers in a busy, fast-paced environment across multiple teams. Strong communication skills and forward planning are essential to ensure smooth operations.

Employment type

Successful candidates will be employed on a casual basis and rostered for regular shifts (5-day rotation, including weekends). For the right candidates, we can offer up to 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

- Safe and efficient forklift operation for transporting fresh produce

- Loading and unloading containers and trucks

- Conducting daily pre-start and equipment checks to identify maintenance needs

- Receiving and dispatching goods

- Picking and packing orders, including manual handling

- Working in refrigerated environments

- Assisting with other duties as required

Qualifications

- A valid Forklift license and up to 2 years of previous experience

- The ability to work well in a team, communicate clearly, and multitask

- An understanding of perishable goods handling, stock rotation, and FIFO principles

- The ability to follow instructions and adhere to safe work procedures

- The ability to remain calm and focused under pressure

- Physical fitness, including the ability to perform lifting and bending tasks regularly

- Commitment to work through to the end of the season
