The opportunity

We are seeking a full-time English Teacher with the ability to teach across Years 7–12, who is committed to creating vibrant, inclusive and academically challenging classroom environments.

Key responsibilities

- Design and deliver engaging , contemporary and inclusive learning experiences

- Foster a love of literature, writing and critical thinking in all students

- Use a variety of assessment tools to support and evaluate student learning

- Contribute to the ongoing development and review of curriculum documentation

- Support student wellbeing and participate actively in our advisory programs

- Collaborate with colleagues to share expertise and continuously improve practice

- Participate in the full life of the school, including co-curricular activities and special events

- Ability to teach Humanities is highly desirable.

The successful candidate

- Is Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registered and holds relevant tertiary qualifications

- Has experience teaching English to students in Years 7–12

- Possesses a deep understanding of contemporary teaching practices

- Demonstrates a growth mindset and inspire students and colleagues through your passion for learning

- Is committed to child safety and inclusive education practices

- Has excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills

- Desirable:

- Experience teaching Humanities (e.g. Commerce, History, Geography)

- Postgraduate qualifications in Education or related field
