The School
Founded in 1955, Mount Lawley Senior High School (SHS) is located 5 kilometres from the Perth CBD. The school comprises three sub‑schools – Years 7 & 8, Years 9 & 10 and Years 11 & 12 – and offers a breadth of curriculum choices including a Gifted and Talented Languages program, a Specialist Visual and Performing Arts program, a Music program and the innovative Aboriginal Excellence Program.

The Role
- Teach the Years 7‑12 English curriculum, including ATAR Year 11 & 12 and Academic Extension Year 7‑10 students.
- Deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons that enable all students to achieve their full potential.
- Engage in reflective practice, using data to inform and improve teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with peers and work within professional learning communities to support school improvement.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students, and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and parents.
Qualifications & Experience
- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- Demonstrate experience teaching Years 7‑12 and managing ATAR and Academic Extension cohorts.
- Show a commitment to the school’s ethos, vision and Pedagogical Framework.
- Be able to work collaboratively in a diverse, culturally responsive workforce.

Eligibility
- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with the relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Obtain a WA Working with Children Check prior to starting.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number before commencing.
