Locum Opportunity: Outreach Worker in Northampton, UK, £23 Hourly – 3 months with a view to extend

What you will do:
- Engage with individuals experiencing street‑based living, including rough sleepers and beggars, connecting them with the right services and housing options
- Empower service users to achieve sustainable change through personalised and coordinated support
- Focus on building individuals’ strengths and social networks, both locally and in their home communities
- Deliver flexible, assertive, and creative interventions to engage hard‑to‑reach individuals and help reduce homelessness
- Street outreach shifts at varying times and locations to identify and engage rough sleepers
- Provide assertive outreach to support entrenched rough sleepers, including those initially resistant to engagement
- Collaborate with housing, healthcare, and social care services to develop holistic, person‑centred plans
- Assist individuals being discharged from hospital, ensuring rapid access to safe and appropriate accommodation
- Maintain accurate records, report progress, and contribute to multi‑agency meetings and local homelessness initiatives
