About the role
Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) provides specialist care for children and young people (0–18) in the North West HHS experiencing, or at risk of, severe and complex mental health disorders. The service offers intake, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, case management, and recovery support for children, families, and carers whose needs cannot be met by other providers.
This role is responsible for delivering clinical care, support, and education to patients in accordance with best practice and quality standards. Ongoing professional standards are maintained through regular clinical supervision. Patients are to be provided with clear written and verbal information regarding their rights, responsibilities, and the established processes for feedback, including complaints and compliments, within mental health services.
Requirements
- Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licenses.
- Appointment to this position requires a minimum of 3 years clinical experience prior to appointment.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a Vulnerable People Demonstration (VPD) risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
