Job Description

This role is responsible for working as part of a team to achieve and deliver the commercial revenue for Melbourne Royal across the pillars of Show, Venue and Awards. Account Managers manage a broad range of accounts and ensures that client objectives are delivered upon whilst looking to maximise cross selling opportunities.

This role is responsible for delivering revenue for Melbourne Royal and managing client accounts, in particular, but not limited to:

• Venue/Melbourne Showgrounds – external events
• Melbourne Royal Show (Show) – Sponsorship, partnerships, supply rights, brand investors, exhibitors, digital assets and onsite advertising
• Food & Beverage Award Programs (Wine, Beer, Distilled Spirits & Food and any other new programs) – sponsorship and partnerships

Key responsibilities:
You will focus on driving revenue growth for Melbourne Royal by managing various aspects of Show and Awards Programs sponsorships, venue bookings, and exhibitor relationships.

A key priority of this role will be developing and servicing sponsorship and partnership accounts, including identifying new opportunities, pitching proposals, negotiating agreements, and ensuring delivery of entitlements.

You will also work across broader commercial areas such as exhibitor acquisition and venue sales, while championing sponsorship across the Show and Awards pillars, as well as relevant industries and client sectors.

Desired Skills and Experience

We are seeking candidates who have substantial experience and a record of achievement in a sponsorship or partnership sales environment, with deep knowledge and experience in marketing, commercial relationships, and event delivery. A strong understanding of sponsorship strategy and client servicing will be highly regarded.

In addition, candidates must have strong relationship skills, excellent interpersonal skills as well as a high level of professionalism.

It is essential that candidates have sound skills with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook. Previous experience using Momentus is highly regarded.

Being able to prioritise and manage multiple work tasks and deliver to agreed deadlines, have sound and accurate judgment together with confident problem solving and decision-making skills will ensure you succeed in the role.
