The Role

They are currently seeking a motivated Intermediate Hydraulic & Fire Protection Engineer looking for exciting and challenging projects and a drive to progress their career further.

Ideally, you'll be degree qualified, with 4+ years of experience in hydraulic and Fire design, exhibiting excellent communication skills with an eye for detail and understanding of the commercial outcomes.

In a diverse role, you will be balancing a mix of responsibilities, combining your strong people skills with your passion for the technical aspects of the role.

You will be responsible for providing high-quality engineering advice on a wide variety of projects. This includes due diligence, concept design, detailed design, construction stage administrative duties, and also offers project-leading opportunities.

The Responsibilities

- Hydraulic and Fire Protection design for building services across multiple industry sectors

- Ability to write reports, tenders, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

- Conduct site audits and develop quotations and engineering submissions

- Providing technical leadership and mentoring within the team

- Growing the business and developing strong, long-lasting client relationships

The Requirements

- Hydraulic/Fire Protection engineer with 4+ years of experience and relevant accreditation with Engineer Australia

- Experience in consulting within the building services industry

- NER registration and CPEng candidates are preferred or working towards these accreditations

- You will have a working knowledge of Australian Standards & best engineering practices

- You will have experience liaising with clients and practising exceptional customer service

- You'll be a natural people-person with an approachable and professional communication style

- You will have excellent written language and verbal communication skills

- You will have the ability to work to deadlines and use your initiative daily

- Terrific team player who's able to develop and foster positive and productive relationships but can also work alone

- Ability to remain calm and effective in an often fast-paced environment
