Irrigation Labourers WANTED

TP Human Capital is currently seeking reliable and hard-working Irrigation Labourers here in Townsville.

Pay Rate: $37.90 per hour + Super
Hours: 38 hours per week
Duration: ASAP start – 3 month contract with opportunity for extension.

About the Role

This hands-on position involves assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems in public parks and landscaped areas. You’ll work outdoors as part of a team helping to maintain the city’s green spaces.

Key Duties

- General labouring and manual outdoor work

- Digging and backfilling holes

- Replacing broken sprinklers and adjusting spray nozzles

- Installing and maintaining irrigation systems in lawns and garden beds

- Assisting team members and following direction from a Team Leader

- Performing other duties as required to support maintenance operations

Skills & Requirements

- Construction Industry White Card (mandatory)

- C Class Unrestricted Manual Driver Licence (mandatory)

- Physically fit and capable of manual labour, especially coming into summer.

- Safety‑conscious and reliable with a strong work ethic

- Previous experience in irrigation, parks, or grounds maintenance (desirable, but not essential)

Pre‑Employment Requirements

- Pre‑employment medical including drug and alcohol screening

- Police check clearance
