Job Description

As the Payroll Team Lead, you will ensure operational excellence, compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction while driving innovation and team development.

- Lead, coach, and mentor the payroll team to foster a collaborative, high-performing culture.
- Support onboarding and training of new team members.
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing across multiple entities.
- Ensure accurate and timely payments, deductions, and statutory submissions.
- Review and approve payroll runs, reconciliations, and reports.
- Support year-end payroll processes.
- Ensure payroll compliance with legislation, awards, and tax obligations.
- Assist with audits and implement controls to mitigate risks.
- Maintain quality assurance and stay current with regulatory changes.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Collaborate on system upgrades, testing, and integrations.
- Maintain payroll procedures and training documentation.
- Build cross functional relationships with HR, ER, Finance, and Operations.

- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with payroll systems and a passion for continuous improvement.
