As our highly valued Credit Assessment Team Leader based in Brisbane, you have the chance to be part of something different in this growing organisation which is one of Australia's largest customer‑owned financial institution. We are a bit smaller than the majors and we do things a little differently.

You will coach, mentor and lead a credit assessment team to ensure Great Southern Bank are meeting their obligations under Responsible Lending and in a way that supports agreed performance outcomes. You will role model our Great Southern Bank values, leading others to deliver a customer centric service and better‑value banking for our customers.

You’ll make an impact by:

- Leadership – you will need to motivate and encourage your team members, as you will be seen as a wise and knowledgeable source and people will seek you out for advice
- Customer Focus – You will need an excellent ability to successfully establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders
- Risk Management, Performance Reporting, Compliance and Workplace Healthy & Safety

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- Strong experience in people management, including coaching and mentoring team members (3 years)
- A high level of working knowledge and experience in home lending
- Operational management experience, including workflow management, resource management and meeting key SLAs
- Formal qualifications in a relevant area of study, for example business or finance (desirable)
- Knowledge of relevant finance industry standards, acts, codes and legislations (e.g. CCC, Code of Practice, Privacy Act, Trade Practices Act, Financial Services Reform Act)
