Aboutthe Role The Child and AdolescentHealth Service (CAHS) are seeking a skilled Procurement &Contract Manager to join our collaborative team and facilitate the efficient procurement of goods and services, including community services, ICT, infrastructure and maintenance works, in alignment with WA Health and State Government policy. Reporting to the Director Procurement and Contract Manager, you will lead procurement planning, tender development, evaluation, and contract implementation. You will also actively manage contractor relationships while providing guidance, and strategic oversight of procurement and contract management activities. You will have opportunity to enhance your understanding of health service operations and contribute to high-value, strategically important projects that underpin CAHS’s mission to deliver world-class healthcare for children, young people, and families across Western Australia. Your ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders across government, health service providers, and the private sector will be key to achieving strategic procurement and service delivery outcomes. Key responsibilitiesinclude: - Managing the full contract lifecycle, from initiation to close-out, ensuring service continuity and performance monitoring. - Analysing quarterly procurement reports to identify non-compliance, leakage, and contract gaps — and develop solutions to improve compliance and value-for-money outcomes. - Promoting governance, fraud prevention, and the use of vetted, value-driven contractors. - Interpreting financial and operational data (including Excel-based reports) to prioritise procurement actions and inform decision‑making. - Providing specialist advice, lead negotiations, and contribute to health service investment planning, representing the Senior Procurement and Contract Manager on committees, meetings, and working groups as required.
