About the Role

This is a permanent part-time position reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Manager. We are looking for someone with a big personality that can have fun with and entertain our guests. You will ideally also have a passion for hotels and hospitality and be driven for experience that will further your career within the company.

This role will be predominantly morning based overseeing Hotel Alba's food & beverage operations.

Responsibilities

- Maintain a harmonious relationship with other members of the service team.
- Participate in all rostered theoretical and on the job training sessions.
- Adhere to all established cashiering policies and procedures.
- Ensure the protection and maintenance of all operating equipment
- Provide strong leadership to the food and beverage team, including supervision, guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
- Train and manage a team of food service professionals that meets, and exceeds, departmental goals and guest satisfaction.
- Oversee daily operations of the food and beverage department, including scheduling, inventory management and cost control.
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times, addressing customer enquiries, feedback and complaints promptly, and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety and sanitation regulations, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Providing ongoing training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills, knowledge and performance.
- Maintain open and effective communication with management, team members, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation and portion control to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate and oversee special events, banquets and catering service, as required, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
- Complete all assigned opening and closing duties.
- Give assistance to other departments or outlets when required.
- Attend all scheduled meetings.
- Perform any other duties as directed by supervisor / manager.

- The natural ability to remain calm under pressure when responding to last minute changes
- Flawless presentation and grooming together with the ability to connect with VIP guests and visitors is a must.
