AI Solution Architect

Overview

We/'re looking for an AI Solution Architect to revolutionise how we deliver software and transform Ordermentum into an AI-native organisation. This isn/'t about running traditional architecture playbooks - we need a builder and change agent who can prototype cutting-edge AI solutions, productionise them at scale, and help our teams supercharge how they work.

About Us

At Ordermentum, our purpose is to create a more sustainable food and beverage industry, by helping venues and suppliers trade smarter. Since launching in 2014, we/'ve grown a massive network of 46k of your favourite cafes, restaurants, and bars (over half the venues in the country) ordering $1.6b+ a year from over 1,000 local, wholesale suppliers.

After a closed Beta through 2024, we launched Omni, our first major AI product that has had an immediate impact helping supplier businesses process off-platform orders automatically - saving customers 30+ hours monthly with 80% reduction in manual data entry. Following this success, we/'ve decided to invest and hire more of the right people to steward our next AI products and transform how the entire Australian hospitality industry operates. Responsibilities

- Build an AI-powered delivery system that transforms how teams ship software, from user research to deployment

- Prototype and implement LLM-based solutions (GPT-5, Claude) to automate feedback analysis and predict feature impact

- Design and deploy AI tools for rapid code generation, intelligent sprint planning, and resource optimization

- Integrate AI APIs, vector databases, and code generation tools (GitHub Copilot) into existing workflows

- Create automated QA systems that generate and maintain tests using AI

- Develop prompt engineering templates and AI capability frameworks for teams

- Partner with engineering teams to embed AI into CI/CD pipelines and project management tools

- Act as a consultant across all levels, diving deep into problems and recommending AI-driven solutions

Qualifications

- Production experience with cutting-edge AI technologies (MCP, agent-driven systems)

- Deep understanding of LLM vs ML technologies and their practical applications

- Strong software engineering background to bridge AI capabilities with existing systems

- Proven track record building and scaling AI solutions in production environments

- Consultant mindset - ability to communicate with all stakeholders and understand complex problems

- Experience with AI integration patterns, API design, and system architecture

- Hands-on with modern AI tools and development workflows

Nice-to-Have

- Experience building AI-powered developer tools or delivery systems

- Knowledge of vector databases, embedding systems, and semantic search

- Background in process automation and workflow optimization

- Understanding of AI safety, evaluation frameworks, and responsible AI practices

- Experience with hospitality or B2B marketplace technology
