Additional information
- This role is Permanent, Full Time, 76 hours per fortnight
- You must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts between the hours of 7:30 and 10pm and to work alternating weekend shifts (both Saturday and Sunday)
About this work area
As an IKEA Food Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, developing and coaching your team of co‑workers to ensure they are given the necessary support, training and guidance to provide an exceptional customer experience.
- Presenting the food range in an inspiring way and leading your team to have strong food range knowledge and be confident active sellers.
- Maintaining a high level of quality, operational, cleaning, and food safety standards.
- Ensuring training compliance and daily operational routines are always in place and accurately recorded.
- Ensuring the food areas are efficiently maintained, organised, attractive and inviting to provide a positive customer experience.
- Supporting and managing change within the Food team and with stakeholders in the wider store.
As a Food Team Leader you:
- Have a minimum of one year of experience in a leadership role (with direct reports) within hospitality, restaurants, fast food, or retail.
- Lead by example and resonate with the IKEA values.
- Are familiar with kitchen operations, knowledgeable about food safety and HACCP, and comfortable leading the daily operations in a fast‑paced, high‑volume operation.
- Are a confident communicator with customers, co‑workers, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Support and develop your team to have a service‑minded and customer‑centric approach with every interaction.
