Prime Painting Contractors is seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team in Melbourne, Victoria. We are a trusted painting and decorating company committed to delivering high-quality finishes and exceptional service to our clients across residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assemble scaffolding, ladders, and protective drop sheets to safeguard surrounding areas from paint splashes.
- Prepare surfaces by stripping old paint or wallpaper, repairing timberwork, filling gaps and cracks, and smoothing and sealing for a clean finish.
- Mix paints to specified colours by combining pigments, oils, thinners, and drying agents to achieve the desired consistency and drying time.
- Apply paints, varnishes, and stains to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Install wallpaper, carefully matching patterns and trimming edges for a neat result.
- Clean tools and maintain a tidy worksite after completing tasks.
- Perform minor window repairs and replace broken glass in wooden and metal frames as needed.
- Lay and repair wall and floor tiles when required.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in painting.
- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent qualification).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality finishes.
- Proficiency in using painting tools and equipment, including brushes, rollers, and spray systems.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently, adhering to workplace health and safety standards.
- Good communication skills and a professional, team-oriented attitude.
