Overview Location: East Perth Unit/Division: Department of Health > Executive Office, Policies and Projects Unit This is a Sessional appointment at 0.5 FTE, with the possibility of extension(s). Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed-term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments). Position Profile The Medical Advisor is responsible to and supportive of the Executive Director for the development and facilitation of safety and quality policy and reform initiatives. It provides leadership and expert advice to the Executive Director in matters related to policy and leads statewide implementation of safety and quality programs. It represents the Executive Director at local, state and national meetings as required. It also assists in the implementation of agreed strategies and policies to achieve integration and development of safety and quality policy and initiatives into health care services across the WA Health system. Key Responsibilities: Lead policy development and statewide implementation of safety and quality programs; represent the Executive Director at meetings; assist in implementation of strategies and policies to integrate safety and quality initiatives into WA Health services.
