About the role
We are on the lookout for a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join our team in Sydney CBD. This role is a full-time permanent position. Reporting to the Assistant Manager – NSW Accounting, you will play an integral part to our core business of delivering professional strata management services to our clients.
Objectives
- Produce monthly financial statements such as year-end and interim accounts such as balance sheet, income & expenditure, cash payments, and debtor statement reports for our body corporate clients.
- Ensure compliance with tax obligations and assist with the preparation of BAS and annual tax returns.
- Prepare and reconcile financial accounts including both cash and accrual-based accounting.
- Arrange and manage audits.
- Support Strata Managers with enquiries.
About you
- Ideally you will have at least 1 year’s experience in a similar all-rounder Assistant Accountant role in the Property Management or Strata industry, but if not, the right attitude and willingness to learn and grow will set you apart from the rest
- You have a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, or related field.
- You have an exceptional eye for detail and time‑management skills.
- You’re proficient with using accounting software with advanced Excel skills.
- You are a self‑starter and passionate about being a team player.
