Your opportunity:
As a Lead Margin Assurance Analyst, you will be part of a team that provides assurance to the business on key revenue and cost elements through meticulous monitoring of assurance controls and processes to ensure that there are no leakages and impacts to the bottom line.
In this role you will also provide expertise and advice in designing appropriate controls, monitoring the operation of those controls and providing decision support and analysis to address specific instances of margin leakage (regardless of whether on the revenue or cost side). This role reports directly to the Senior Finance Manager – Margin Assurance within our Financial Control team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure both current transformational programs as well as other routine programs have RAID at the heart of it addressing both continuity impacts as well as the setting up of new controls.
- Lead and Manage the Invoice Assurance stream, that ensures the accuracy of our billing and invoicing, with an active focus on detecting leakage scenarios.
- Ensure both existing and planned product and pricing initiatives have a decree of assurance principles applied before and after market implementation.
- Ownership of key margin assurance controls, taking responsibility for driving the resolution of issues identified by those controls.
- Supporting the Senior Finance Manager – Margin Assurance in performing risk analysis, investigating unusual trends in revenue or cost reporting and conducting product or service post implementation reviews.
- Assess new products and services, or changes to existing products and services to identify control gaps or risks that could lead to potential abuse or margin leakage on the revenue or cost side.
- Assess Network and IT system changes to identify impacts on Margin Assurance applications and processes.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that are having a detrimental impact on TPG Telecom revenue streams and costs.
- Prepare Margin Assurance reports, risk assessments and provide health check results as required.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience in Data Analytics, Revenue Assurance, Risk Management, Billing Quality Assurance or Internal Audit role.
- Telecommunications experience preferred.
- Demonstrated SQL data querying and analysis ability, AWS Red-Shift and Teradata preferred.
- Experience using data visualisation tools, Power BI preferred.
- Experience with Assurance tools, RAID preferred
- Experience working on transformational projects.
- Ability to Identify risks and issues post go‑live deployment of new plans, products and services.
- Exercise initiative and judgment to perform high quality margin assurance analysis and suggest potential control improvements.
