Are you an experienced Cardiac and Vascular Interventional Services nurse looking for a career advancement opportunity or fresh new challenge?Do you possess the ability to coordinate and facilitate educational programs that contribute to the professional development of nurses within the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory environment, including coronary, vascular and structural heart specialties?Then, this may be the challenge for you

The Mount Hospital is situated in a desirable inner city location with low cost parking included for our staff.Our services include three Cardiac Catheter Laboratories and a true Hybrid theatre able to perform a multitude of highly complex procedures.These include extensive Interventional Cardiology cases, Endoluminal and Open Vascular procedures and our flagship Structural Heart Program including TAVI (over 900 cases since 2018) and other mitral and tricuspid valve therapies.Further, we proudly offer dedicated on‑site cardiothoracic surgical support, ensuring expert care is always within reach.

The right candidate will have extensive clinical skills combined with a vast knowledge base and the ability to connect with and teach other motivated professionals.Our training packages are designed to introduce and upskill nurses from beginners into experienced CVIS nurses.Will you be the one to lead them?

Selection Criteria:

• Minimum of 3 years cardiac and vascular interventional services experience.

• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

• Experience in designing, coordinating and facilitating structured educational programs that support the upskilling of nurses from novice to expert levels in CVIS specialties.

• Demonstrated involvement in audit and quality improvement initiatives, including the ability to identify areas for enhancement, implement evidence‑based changes and evaluate outcomes to improve patient care and service delivery.

• Ability to effectively communicate with multidisciplinary teams, patients and stakeholders, with a strong focus on collaboration and relationship‑building.

• Ability to objectively evaluate and assess learning needs and outcomes.

• Ability to deliver hands‑on practical education.

• Ability to undertake education presentations.

• Postgraduate qualifications in cardiac nursing or commitment to obtaining same.

• Certificate IV in workplace assessment and training.

• Ability to use simulation modalities to enhance training delivery.
