Location: Kalgoorlie Unit/Division: WACHS - Goldfields > GSEH - KRH - EMERGENCY Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time, Permanent - Full Time, Permanent - Part Time In this pivotal role, you will: - Plan, perform, facilitate, and evaluate the delivery of patient care in the Emergency Department. - Maintain a safe nursing practice and working environment while coordinating a multidisciplinary approach to client care. - Act as a clinical resource, providing education and supervision for Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and students. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice and efficiency. - Supervise staff performance and contribute to the ongoing education of the nursing team. - Provide health education to patients and their families, advocating for their needs and interests. - Assist the Clinical Nurse Manager in enforcing policies, conducting performance reviews, and managing rosters. The ideal candidate will possess: - Demonstrated advanced nursing practice, particularly within an Emergency Department setting. - Strong planning, coordination, and decision‑making skills. - Experience in quality improvement activities relevant to the Emergency Department. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - Proven team leadership abilities and the capacity to work collaboratively. - Knowledge of legislative obligations related to health services, including Equal Opportunity and Work Health and Safety. - A commitment to ongoing professional development, with a focus on Emergency and Critical Care Nursing.
