Remuneration

Package valued at up to $151,704.00. Base salary ranges $87,550.00 – $133,846.00 plus leave loading and superannuation contribution.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the school community to create an educationally connected school community through a culture of high expectations for all.

- Develop, maintain and review Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Support Plans with the capacity to use data to deliver responsive, high-quality, differentiated literacy and numeracy programs.

- Create an inclusive, positive learning environment enabling all students to connect, succeed and thrive.

Essential Selection Criteria

1. Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with Autism, mild to moderate intellectual disability, supporting complex learning needs, including communication, sensory, wellbeing, and challenging behaviour.

2. Demonstrated ability to collaboratively develop, maintain and review Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Support Plans with the capacity to use data to deliver responsive, high-quality, differentiated literacy and numeracy programs.

3. High-quality classroom practice and management skills to create an inclusive, positive learning environment, enabling all students to connect, succeed and thrive.

4. Well-developed communication, organisation and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage proactively and professionally with students, parents and carers from a diverse range of backgrounds, staff, support agencies and the wider community, as part of a collaborative team to improve student outcomes.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process simultaneously with this application.
