EnerMech is looking for a dedicated Alcoa Project Technician to join our team. This role will play a critical part in supporting our operations on the Alcoa project, ensuring that we meet client expectations and project milestones efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with project management and site teams to execute project tasks effectively.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Heat exchanger repairs and overhauls.
- Basic pipefitting and flange management.
- Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.
- Communicate proactively with stakeholders regarding project progress and any potential issues.

This position is based on-site at Alcoa facilities, offering a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to contribute significantly to project outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess

- Relevant trade qualification or experience in a mechanical or technical discipline.
- Experience in the mining or heavy industrial sectors is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in using technical tools and equipment related to the project.
- Current certifications such as First Aid, Working at Heights and Confined Space Entry (valid within 2 years) are advantageous.
- Knowledge of heat exchanger servicing and repairs.
- MSMSS00017 - Use High Pressure Water Jetting Equipment or MSMSS00018 - Operate a High-Pressure Water Jetting System (desirable).
- BASIC Rigging (desirable).
- HR Truck license (desirable).
- Knowledge of bolting/unbolting and flange management (desirable).
