HVAC Technician

Equans ANZ, a leading provider of technical services across Australia & New Zealand, and globally, is on the lookout for a HVAC Technician to be an important part of an experienced team of multi-skilled technicians that work across a wide variety of sites and industries in Bunbury and across the South-West region.

What you will be doing

• Provide both reactive work and preventative maintenance to a range of different clients.
• Effectively diagnose problems and perform work of a technical nature on heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Self-manage workload with the ability to determine job priorities and to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Mentor apprentices and provide technical onsite training.
• Establish and maintain relationships with our customers ensuring concerns and complaints are proactively addressed.
• Work closely with other colleagues and managers within the region to foster a strong team environment.
• Maintain current industry knowledge and keep updated with changes and advances in refrigeration, air conditioning systems and technology.
• You will be provided with training and development for a variety of different work required across multiple sites.

• Mining Sector - Support the operational efficiency and safety of mining facilities by maintaining robust mechanical and environmental systems.
• Tertiary Education Institutions - Ensure comfortable and functional learning environments for students, staff, and faculty.
• Central Energy Plants - Work with large-scale infrastructure providing energy to expansive and high-demand facilities.

About you

• You can be an experienced HVAC technician.
• You can be a residential and small commercial AC technician who is looking for an opportunity to work with central plant.
• You are happy to be trained in all things commercial HVAC.
• Wiling to undergo national police check & full medical including drug and alcohol testing.

Skills and experience

• Refrigeration and Air-conditioning experience.
• Western Australian Full or Restricted Electrical Licence.
• Applicable Trade Licence.
• Australian National Arctic Refrigerant Handling Licence.
• Central plant experience is ideal, however not required.
• We are more than willing to train the right candidate.
