PositionProfile:The Director Human Resources providesstrategic leadership and direction for the East Metropolitan HealthService (EMHS) Human Resource function, ensuring the delivery ofEMHS Human Resource services and strategies that contribute to theachievement of the organisation’s purpose and strategicgoals. The job holder is a member of the EMHS People andCulture senior leadership team, contributing to the strategicmanagement, alignment, and leadership of People and Cultureservices across the EMHS.

AreaProfile:The East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS)comprises an extensive hospital and health service network thataims to maintain and improve the health and wellbeing of more than790,000 Western Australians in its catchment area. Our hospitalnetwork works together to provide a combination of tertiary,secondary and specialist health care services including emergencyand critical care, state trauma, elective and emergency surgery,general medical, mental health, inpatient and outpatient services,aged care, palliative care, rehabilitation and women’s,children’s and neonates services.

The EMHSconsists of Royal Perth Hospital; Armadale Health Service; BentleyHealth Service; Kalamunda Hospital; St John of God Midland PublicHospital and a range of community and population healthservices.

Eligibility toApply:To be eligible for appointment, applicantsmust have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or bean Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to liveand work indefinitely in Australia (for permanentappointments).

OtherConditions:WA Health engages staff inpositions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies requireapplicants to undertake a criminal records screening and integritychecking as part of the appointment process. As well as undertakinga criminal record screening and integrity checking, you may also berequired to undertake a working with children check (if requiredfor the role) and a pre-employment health assessment. Whilst thisselection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy,it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughoutthe health service. In addition to this, should the successfulapplicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the nextmost suitable applicant may also be selected from this process.Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12)months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitmentdecision.
