- Location: Slade Pharmacy Hunter Valley, located within Hunter Valley Private Hospital.

- Experience Requirements: At least 2 years’ pharmacy practice is ideal. Hospital pharmacy experience is not essential.

We’re looking for a Pharmacist-in-Charge to co‑lead our Slade Pharmacy team at Hunter Valley Private Hospital in a part‑time maternity leave cover role.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced pharmacist with leadership capabilities to step into a pivotal position within a clinical environment. While hospital experience is advantageous, it is not essential – we welcome applications from pharmacists with strong management experience in community settings.

About the Role

This part‑time position offers 60 hours per fortnight, with shifts scheduled on Tuesdays to Fridays between 8:00am and 4:00pm.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver pharmacy services within the hospital

- Build strong relationships with hospital staff and manage key customer partnerships

- Oversee efficient and profitable pharmacy operations

- Ensure compliance with legislation and contractual obligations

- Continuously improve clinical and pharmacy services

- Provide education and advice to hospital staff and internal teams

About You

You’re a qualified Pharmacist with the confidence to lead a dynamic team and the ability to manage your workload effectively. You thrive on solving problems independently and bringing practical solutions to the table. While hospital pharmacy experience is highly regarded, it’s not essential as comprehensive training will support your transition into this environment.

Ideally, you’ll have at least 2-years of pharmacy practice to ensure a strong start, but we also welcome applications from motivated Pharmacists with less experience who are eager to learn and grow.

Essential Requirements

- Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist with no restrictions on practice.

- Australian working rights, valid for at least 13‑months from date of employment.

Desirable Skills & Experience

- Minimum 2-years practice experience in a community or hospital pharmacy.

- Previous experience in hospital pharmacy.

- Proven leadership or management experience.
