About the role
The Quality and Risk Officer provides practical support, expertise and coaching to ensure effective use of systems and processes to ensure organisational compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and the Uniting AgeWell Clinical Governance and Risk Management frameworks.
The Quality and Risk Officer supports services (residential and home care) in meeting all accreditation requirements through:
- Provision of on-site education and training in all aspects of quality and compliance (in collaboration with UA’s Learning and Development team)
- Undertaking audits of practice and promoting change in practice (where required); building capacity through proactive, collaborative education and support
- Provide practical support and advice in quality systems and processes, including continuous improvement, feedback, customer experience, and incident and risk management
- Project planning and support collaboration with stakeholders for implementation models of care frameworks and best practice initiatives
About you
You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents and clients, enhancing their self-esteem and empowering them to make choices.

- Qualified as a Registered Nurse with current registration with AHPRA
- Extensive experience and expertise in working with or managing quality, clinical governance and quality improvement systems in aged care, health, welfare or other service industries
- Desirable Qualifications and/or experience in Aged Care
- Experience in Project Management
- Demonstrated change management experience
- Experience in the aged care, palliative, community or health sector
- Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)
