We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our professional kitchen team.

Chef – Full Time: Duke Pizza – Melbourne, VIC

Key Responsibilities
• Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety, hygiene standards, and food safety legislation
• Guiding and mentoring junior kitchen staff on correct preparation processes, food handling, and pizza-making techniques
• Assisting in menu planning and recipe refinement, considering seasonal availability and cost-effective ingredient usage
• Managing inventory and stock rotation, identifying shortages, and ensuring correct storage and preservation of food items
• Working collaboratively with front-of-house and management personnel to support efficient service standards
• Upholding an organised, clean, and well-maintained kitchen, including equipment care and workstation orderliness
• Preparing, cooking, baking, and presenting pizzas and a range of complementary menu offerings accurately and consistently
• Monitoring food presentation and taste throughout preparation and service to ensure high-quality standards
• Supporting cost-control strategies through portion management and reducing food waste
• Contributing ideas for innovation in menu items and kitchen operations to enhance customer experience
• Participating in daily food preparation schedules and responding effectively to peak-service demands

Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Chef
• AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, or equivalent in Commercial Cookery or a related field

Employment Type: Full-time – approximately 38 hours per week

Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum + Superannuation
